Generation Deactivation Study Results

Generator deactivation study results and their associated required upgrades are to be posted per the Open Access Transmission TariffPDF under a certain scenario. This scenario occurs when a generator is required to continue operating past its proposed deactivation date because the required upgrades could not be constructed in time. This generating unit is commonly referred to as a reliability must run unit. These study results are posted below.

There is a brief reliability impact statement given for each generator on the Future Deactivation Summary Sheet posting. Also, generator deactivations, reliability impacts and required upgrades are routinely discussed at the Transmission Expansion Advisory Committee meetings.
