DSR in the Ancillary Service Markets

Within PJM, there are multiple opportunities for interruptible system load (DSR) to participate in wholesale electric markets. In addition to energy and capacity, a DSR participant may be compensated for providing ancillary services to the power grid. Ancillary services, including Synchronized Reserves, Regulation, and Day-Ahead Scheduling Reserves (DASR), are procured daily (or hourly) by PJM in order to support the bulk power transmission grid.

This WebEx session will provide the participant the necessary information to offer into the Synchronized Reserve, Regulation, and DASR markets. Completion of this training, either in-person or online, is a mandatory requirement for CSPs prior to participating in the Ancillary Service markets.
